Inheritance and Wills: - Under the UCC, both sons and daughters have been given equal inheritance rights. - The process of making and revoking wills has been simplified. 5. Exceptions: - This law does not apply to Scheduled Tribes and some protected communities. Purpose of UCC: The main purpose of UCC is to bring equality by eliminating discrimination on the basis of religion, caste and gender.
