"Adani's Mahaseva: Visiting Jagannath Puri with family, distributing Prasad to lakhs of devotees"

The chariot pulling began today (Saturday, 29 June 2024) with great enthusiasm and devotion on the second day of the ongoing Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, Odisha. Here is a summary of the main events:

1. Start of the Rath Yatra: The chariot pulling resumed at 10:00 AM. Devotees started pulling the three chariots (Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannath) in the traditional manner.

2. Arrival of the chariots:
Balabhadra's chariot (Taladhwaj): 11:20 AM
Subhadra's chariot (Darpadalan): 12:20 PM
Jagannath's chariot (Nandighosh): 1:11 PM
All the chariots reached Gundicha temple after covering a distance of 2.6 km.

3. Number of Devotees: More than 10 lakh devotees participated in the Yatra. Lord Gundicha will stay at the temple for 9 days.

4. Contribution of Adani Group: Gautam Adani, along with his family (wife Preeti and son Karan) visited the Rath Yatra.
Prasad Seva: Around 40 lakh devotees and sevadars will be provided free food and water from 26 June to 8 July. This initiative is similar to the dedication of Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

This year, the Rath Yatra festival is being celebrated on a grand scale, where religious fervor and social service come together to create a unique experience.
